7 of us went to The Yew Tree restaurant in Manuden for Sunday lunch today. The atmosphere was so welcoming, warm and cosy. The service was second to none. A super choice of food on the menu. We all opted for the traditional roast dinner …

The rooms were perfect and immaculate. Staff were polite and helpful. The food was delicious and dessert was presented like a piece of artwork.
I Recommend staying here.
Also it was 🐶 dog friendly with a small fee,but still brilliant.👌
Rooms: It was warm and comfortable, as we stayed in the winter. The room was extremely spacious and had a clean interior. Also very quiet.

A stop over before flying from Stansted. Great attentive friendly staff. The food was great although being a person from above the Watford Gap area I was shocked at the bar prices. BUT we were on holiday and I was told to stop moaning🤨
A lovely stop over and recommended 🤔 yes would re visit
One down side was kids running about outside at night and trying the doors.
Rooms: Well appointed comfortable and a bath.

Don't agree with 10% service charge on restaurant meals. We were not made aware of it until we were paying the bill and prefer to decide on our own amount of tip. Won't be staying there again. However, the room was comfortable and clean.

Lovely place. Stayed overnight. Staff were friendly and attentive. Tried refilling my beer often 😂. The room was great; a big comfy bed, nice and clean. Roll-top freestanding bath in a marble style bathroom was a great touch and made the place feel luxurious. Small details could have been a little better; lights in the room need switching to dimmer bulbs as they flicker, some hand soap would have been nice too (there was free shampoo and shower gel tubes though). Complimentary coffee is the obligatory awful nescafe. Overall had a great night, lovely location, great staff, great room, great food too.

This is a review for the restaurant and pub. Have been going back to the Yew Tree as the food is extremely good, the pub and atmosphere is great. Have tried other pub menus in the area and this far better than any others I have tried.

I visited whilst staying with friends over the weekend.
Staff were very friendly and attentive, Sunday lunch was really nice, service was on point.
Overall a lovely place!
Only missing one thing, crackling with the pork.

We stayed as Brit Stoppers in our motor home in this lovely village location. The young man behind the bar - we did ask his name but forgot it, maybe Lee? - was extremely impressive. He was attentive and helpful with trout being overbearing. He genuinely could not do enough for us and seemed to anticipate our next request before we’d even thought of it. The pub itself was cozy, with good food and lovely wine. A place I could have remained all evening had we not been so tired, so we retired to the campervan where we had a peaceful night. Dog friendly too.

Came across this gem of a place last Sunday.|We stopped for a late lunch as a group of 4. |All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. Best burger I have had in a very long time. Amy in particular tended to all …

The staff and pub was amazing, the food was great and a high quality if not a little pricey. It's set in a little village location with not much else there but it was very nice.
Unfortunately the room wasn't what I'd expect. The heating was on high and we couldn't turn it off, and it was all just very basic, the pillows were so flat it was almost pointless using them. Some simple changes and it could be a lovely night stay.
